Art Team Devlog (Aalani S) Postmortem
The game is finally done! Whoo!
The past several months have been a lot of work and learning, so many other things in between, but everyone came together at the end and it was really nice to make something together.
I never set dress before or even made weapon model.
The first thing we did was come up with our weapons while we waited for the Design team to make the block out of the level.
Since the Parasite infection was a power the player could weird with their own mutation we decided a more gorey- boney look for the weapons would add some cool factor.

This was the original sketch for the sword which I then modeled to this.
Then for the Barracks I was tasked to work on the Plant Lab Puzzle room, the Wall climb room, and Upper Sewer. It took me sometime to imagine up an idea to fill up the space but eventually I started to the idea of making it feel that people had to be rushed and abandon the facility quickly. 

With that done I did the Boss room which needed to be set in a way that was interesting, chaotic, and open enough to actually fight.

I think the god rays and rubble floating really adds to the feel of being in space with random areas losing gravity on the ship as the mutation over takes everything.
