Art Team Devlog 3


Aaron’s Work:

Added all necessary animations to the prince and cleaned up some of the folders. I attached the Prince animation to Logan’s BP_PrinceAI as requested. All that is left is to clean up the animations folder by deleting unnecessary animations and cleaning up the Female Protagonist and the Guard’s folders.

Aidan’s Work:

Worked on guard wake-up animation, while also making tweaks to the mannequin model for easier work.

Christian’s Work:

My work this week involved creating a plan for the art team to begin working on the art passes for the areas on the first level. Once a plan was formulated, I helped get people organized into groups. Kyra would work with Riley on the outside area around the castle, Lu and Elijah would work with William on the first floor of the castle, and Jacklynn would work with Hunter on designing art for the UI of the game. After that, it was mostly me overseeing that progress was made on each of these areas. William failed to submit a progress report when asked to do so. To ensure Elijah and Lu could complete some work by Sunday night, I decided to take over and bring the blockout closer to being finished.

Elian’s Work:

I feel like I did not do too much this week, I mostly organized all of the animations so that they are a bit easier to understand what you need and where to go to find them, I imported the waking up animation but it seems to be broken with the character that goes on the animation, so I will be trying to figure that out tonight after I turn in this assignment. I feel like I need to do more, but my work schedule has been taking up most of my time, so I will try to work around this next week.

Elijah’s Work:

I started the art pass on the drawing room, the throne room, and the servants' quarters. Did most of the work on the throne and the servants' quarters. For the servants, I would say it’s pretty much done. I think I just want to get feedback and maybe add some more props. For the throne room, I got most of that done too, mostly just needing to add the walls. Then, for the drawing room, I didn’t do a lot, mostly just put some props in there.

Jacklynn’s Work: I worked with Hunter M on the programming team to make UI asset art, and added a few miscellaneous items. Notes to the art team’s backlog document

Kyra’s Work:

Progress report: Renamed the garden level to garden v1, duplicated it to make garden v2, replaced the perimeter wall, adjusted the landscape to compensate, created a stable from modular pieces, added bridges, and added trees.

Lu’s Work:

I'm 90% done with Kitchen, Main hall, and Dining, still need to add more indoor decors, but the basic layout and most decors are done.

I remember Jacklynn mentioned that the window and outside wall don't match the castle style, so I added another layer to the outside wall (inside layer is still wallpaper wall, outside layer is castle wall). I also changed the window style. To match the wallpaper texture, I created a new material instance to apply to the window, but it still seems uneven, so I used some short tables to hide the lower part.
