Art Team Devlog 4

Aaron’s Work:

Finished most of the dungeon. Added everything that is required by block out, which includes many assets from the Polygon Fantasy pack and dungeon pack. Waiting on feedback to change things as needed. Kyra suggests that I add grime, and I agree. A dungeon needs a certain amount of damage, dust, and dirt. Maybe even a collapsed section?!

Dungeon Art Pass 01

Aidan’s Work:

Started work on both the ‘Guard wake up (back)’ and ‘Wake up from bed’ animations. Currently unfinished.

Christian’s Work:

My work this week was pretty much entirely supervisory work. I helped make sure that the maps needed for the first level were completed by Sunday afternoon, and I provided Jacklynn with a list of throwable items to make icons for. There was a brief hiccup when Lu encountered a merge conflict, but it was quickly resolved and moved past.

Elian’s Work:

Started working on the art pass for the 2nd level, put all the walls and floors in, populated the king’s study room with tables, chairs, books, bookshelves, and carpets. Tried to break up the monotony of the bookshelves as well, to give more depth to the world. Used pillars to break the repetitive walls, and added windows in certain areas. Added a bed to the queen and king bedroom, a chandelier, and will add more to the level as the night goes on.

Elijah’s Work: 

Did the art pass for parts of the first floor. I did the servant’s quarters, the drawing room, and the throne room. 

Jacklynn’s Work: Created several art assets for the HUD, carryable/throwable item icons, and did several other UI assets - at this time: not finished with everything, but have struck most items off the list.

Kyra’s Work:

Finished Garden level. Built a castle, chapel, barracks, signal fire, and hedge maze. Also adjusted outer wall battlement height.

Lu’s Work:

This week, I've been working on updating the 1st floor kitchen/hallway/dining area. I've already merged once with new material updated(Kyra helped me with UV setup) and new layout. During the weekend, I finished the rest of the first floor decor. Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/4jCrpJ-SU_Q
