Sound Devlog - Sprint 1, Week 2


This week, I was focused on creating more sounds as well as setting up ambience to work in-engine. 

I created one-shots for the grappling hook, footsteps of different sizes, and an opening door. I also created 2 minutes of ambience to be looped in the background. I created these sounds with a mix of foley I had recorded for a previous project, sound effect plugins, as well as freely licensed sounds from freesound.org. I layered and modified them to fit the game to the best of my ability. I set up a MetaSound asset which will control ambience and music ultimately. The MetaSound asset will allow us to dynamically change the ambience and music based on game events.  I'm looking forward to implementing dynamic music into the game.
