Sound Devlog - Sprint 3, Week 1


This week I continued working on the dialogue system that I created last week. I spent time planning and beginning implementation of dialogues that are triggered by gameplay events such as losing health, entering a enemy-heavy area, or becoming more infected. I also added a timer to prevent circumstantial dialogue from being overplayed. The timer and random variation will likely be adjusted as I play-test with it. 

I also spent time working on some temporary music to be used for starting the implementation of dynamic music, because I believe we won't get those tracks until late this month or November. Next week, I'll have a working test of dynamic music which I can show to the composers so they get an idea of what we are looking for.

Finally, I spent some time reaching out again to the voice acting students after the design team wrote some tangible dialogue for the project. Still awaiting a response from them, however.
