For this week’s work I implemented icons for the blade and gun abilities into the UI, along with the code to make them unlock at the correct times and save their states. I also fixed some collision issues with some of my blueprints.

Owen:
Added a nametag function to the interaction interface to get an object’s name.
Modified mutation to subtract health after reaching max mutation.


Derek:
Death widget and death sequence. Added a global time dilation to smoothly blend out of the death into ui, fade black on death, also worked on a bit of the widget animation. Fixed a weapon bug on the shotgun, made the shotgun stay out longer when shooting, removed debug notifications and traces from weapons, and visual effects for the shotgun( flash to gun barrel), and added sound cue to gunshot. Fixed shotgun location during shooting. Fixed an input bug when right clicking the screen zooms and shoots shotgun (removed zoom) Fixed bug with the Kill floor respawn. Started on the tutorial popups Added a collision box to trigger the tutorial, added a widget to the project, fades into the widget with animation, and it pauses the game.

Alex:
Added the mantling system, need to fix climbing character forward vector issues before i can fully test everything (issues mentioned in dev log vid)
